Richlands Station was the first new station to be constructed to service the growing western corridor to Springfield in Southeast Queensland.

The station was part of a larger project incorporating an extension to the Centenary Highway along with new cycle paths and bus interchange.

Whilst not directly responsible for the design of the project, much of the experience that RBDS brings to the industry was developed on this project including the management of design changes, contractor engagement and dispute resolution.
